Hello.

Welcome to the blog for Will & Mai's Wedding Party.  As you know, it's at Dragon Hall on Saturday August 3rd, but please use this site for all the further information you will need.  The posts below should provide you with all you need to know, but please contact us or comment below if you have any questions.

THE VENUE

Here are the links for the official site, and for a map.  It's a thousand paces from the station, please see the taxi section below in case the weather ain't up to much.  The nearest car parks are situated on Rouen Road, Rose Lane and Mountergate.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Here are some suggestions of lodgings in the area.  Dragon Hall is in the city centre, so most places are a walk or cheap taxi ride away.  There are also the usual chain hotels and such, though I have it on good authority that the Travelodge on Rose Lane (nearby) mightn't be the most agreeable of places to rest your head on a Saturday night.

THE WEDDING PRESENT

As much as Mai and I would love a new washing machine, vacuum cleaner, kettle and vintage synthesizer, the logistics prohibit.

Please DO NOT give us any physical wedding presents, as we simply can't transport anything more than we will no doubt amass this Summer.  Instead, if you would like to present us with something, please do so by clicking the link below.

Wedding Gift Fund

It's not as romantic as a nice set of Le Creuset pans, but it's eminently more practical.

THE CHILDREN

There will be fun and games of various varieties for the young'uns in the afternoon before eating.  We expect about 20 kids ranging from months to 16 years old.  There will also be a kids' menu option.

THE MEAL

The hot buffet will be served from 5pm.  There will be a vegetarian option, but please inform me by email if you have any dietary requirements that need to be taken into account.

THE DRINK

In addition to toasts and table wine, there will be a cash bar operating for the duration.  Provided the poor souls aren't drunk dry by some of our more enthusiastic guests.

THE ENTERTAINMENT

There will be family fun before we eat, with live music, disc jockeying and other treats after.
